Ordinary Day

I've got a smile on my face, and I've got four walls around me
I got the sun in the sky, all the waters surround me
I'll win now but sometimes I'll lose
I've been battered, but I never bruise,
it's not so bad

And I say way-hey-hey, it's just an ordinary day
and it's all your state of mind
At the end of the day, you've just got to say,
it's all right

Nothing too crazy or exciting happening around here lately. Brent's work schedule has been pretty insane as he closes up busy season. There's been a lot of late nights, but we still find time to have fun. Things are simple, things are good.

I'm having no trouble enjoying the little things in Grand Cayman. For instance, Brent coming home early on a Friday so we can partake in a frozen food feast by the pool.

Brent LOVES these corndogs from Cost U Less. I'm actually a little embarrassed by the amount he consumes. One time I got in big trouble because I waited too long to restock and Cost U Less was all out. That was a mistake I won't make twice.

Of course, I have a more refined palette, so I opted for some good old fashioned chicken nuggets.

What else keeps us entertained during busy season? Here's a clue:

Sometimes when Walter's fast asleep, his tongue pokes out just so. There is no end to the delight we find in this.

Sometimes he snuggles,

sometimes he wishes we'd leave him alone.

I tried to get in some cuddles too, but by this point, Walter was fed up with the camera.

He got up with a huge sigh and tried to hide in his crate, but Brent continued with the pictures. Walter headed to the living room, and Brent followed like a relentless paparazzi. It seems a little cruel now, but at the time it was pretty hilarious.

Silly Walter, haven't you realized yet? You can't escape the love in this home.

It's just an ordinary day in The Grand Life.
